Our home had been on the market with two other listing agents for almost a year and all I heard from them was "drop the price". Mind you that was at a 6% commission rate. Got a lot of excuses but no results.
Even thought this is the toughest market I've seen in 30 years, Richard Arias kept on plugging and bringing people to the house and shopping our property to other agents. He did this despite knowing that he would receive only half as much commission as the other agent!
He was also instrumental in holding the deal together through the difficult divorce process as well. Going well beyond what I would have expected. I can't say enough good things about his service and understanding throughout this whole process.
In conclusion, you would be crazy NOT to retain Richard Arias as your realtor.

How can you beat this? 3% Full-Service, They're not kidding, real estate has changed. I wish more business were as fair as we were treated by Home Finders. I guess working with the owner of the company did provide a level comfort and peace of mind. His knowledge and experience made the difference especially in this economy. I can't say enough about how he helped us and my sister is a salesperson with another company. She could not charge us what we were offered with Home Finders and our margins were tight. My wife and I were so relieved to have sold our home and keep more money for ourselves. Everyone one should charge this price to sell a home.

To whom it may concern:
I'm no beginner to selling homes having done so multiple times before in good and bad times. I'd heard of Home Finders over the years from friends and how much money they saved. When I decided to sell. Having sold so many homes in the past I chose to try this myself without a realtor. I was comfortable that even if I had to reduce my price I had 6 months to sell before relocating and starting my new job. What a mistake! After 6 months of reducing my price and not selling I realized I needed an agent. Having one month left and many price reductions later I could not spend alot in commission and net even less. Having seen several realtors, Home Finders arrangemnts were hard to beat. I sold my unit in the first two weeks and can't belive the level of service at this reduction in commisssion percentage. Thank You. Too bad your not in Arizona because I would buy from you too.

When we decided to sell our home we listed with a large local office believing they were the best choice. After 3 months of limited activity and little follow up we decided to list with the largest company in the area. But,3 months later we're still as disatisfied even with price reductions. My wife suggested we try a Realtor one of our friends used and sold her house in one month charging 3%. I expressed my skepticism but would be willing to meet with them. The listing presentation was made by the owner of the company, that shocked me. He made no bones about the difficuly in navagating this market and what he thought was the best strategy for marketing our home by details we had not heard before and taking the complexity & frustration were feeling. Listening to his concerns, I thought to myself. "This is how you sell a home"! Finally, I felt experience and knowledge, not promises of we're the largest company, we sell everything. Needless to say our home sold in two weeks and we paid thousands less in fee's. I can go on & on but I listen to my wife for a reason. She's usually right.

We interviewed several large agencies prior to listing with Home Finders.We wanted an established local company. They did not hard sell us with promises others did. We even interviewed a newer large 3% discount broker to find they only offered cooperating selling agents 1/3 commission and they kept the rest.This method was surely not in our best interest bringing forth buyers. Both my wife and I, having previously sold two homes were a little more savvy as to what's truly involved. In fact, other agents insinuated that such a lower commission broker would not provide a level of service comparable to there larger companies. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The professionalism and genuine concern demonstrated for our sale was superior to that of any previous sale. Home Finders just offers the same services for less. We knew of the difficulties of trying to sell on our own. But to pay a 5% commission after having owned the home for under 5 years had us consider options. We are so glad we did. After our first hand experience we cannot understand how anyone would choose to pay more. We encourage anyone selling to use Home Finders real estate services.

IF YOU SELL YOUR HOME THROUGH ANYBODY OTHER THEN HOME FINDERS, YOU ARE INSANE?

About one year ago my wife & I received the happy news that we were going to have our second child in August of 04. So we decided it was time to move into something larger & sell our two bedroom condo, actually one bedroom with a converted loft.

We thought, probably as a lot of you do, that we could be successful going the ?By Owner? route. This was not the case. After a couple of frustrating months of expensive advertisements, shoppers & insulting offers we gave up & decided to call a broker.

Having seen all the ads for reduced rate commissions, we thought we would be able to negotiate the % rate with one of the larger firms. We even called the broker that we bought the unit from only five years prior. They told us how the rate was NOT negotiable & the discounted agencies would not give their level of service & commitment. So we caved in & gave them the listing.

Much to our dismay we were in the same frustrating boat again, only this time we were expected to hand over a check for $20,000. Several open houses later, we where advised to take the only solid offer. Unbelievably it was a full $30,000 less then our asking price. We reluctantly agreed, nervous about the market & impending birth. Two weeks after the accepted offer, the buyers backed out. I would later consider this a stroke of luck, but at the time I was livid. I decided to take the house off the market & cancel my contract with that agency.

After waiting the appropriate amount of time, so there would be no conflict of interest, I decided to call another broker. This is about the time I saw Home Finders Real Estate ad for 3% commission with full MLS. I visited the web site, read the testimonials, not unlike the one I am writing now & made the call?best 25 cents I ever spent; it probably saved us about $40,000.

I explained my story to Richard & gave him the parameters of my needs; not a penny under my asking price, unit sold ?as is?, flexibility on move in time, no open houses, only serious buyers, twenty-four hours notice on a showing with specific appointments only. He said ?No problem? & that I would have an offer within three weeks.

He was a man of his word. We had an offer. The only problem was that the perspective buyers were stretching their loan dollar to the limit & wanted to negotiate the price. Home Finders, without me even asking, reduced another 1% of his commission, so everybody would be happy. Even at the closing table when there was a discrepancy in the numbers, Home Finders offered to write a check right then & there to make up the difference!

Home Finders truly goes above & beyond & not just financially. Our broker was invaluable counsel every step of the way. He even came to visit our new born & bought a great little outfit for our son Cameron.

He gets my highest recommendation & utmost gratitude. Not only will he be my real estate agent forever, but a personnel friend.

Like I said in the beginning, you are insane if you don't call him.

Considering this booming real estate market I had first thought of listing my property for sale by owner, hoping to save a 5% commission on my $850.000.00 home saving myself a substanial amount. I soon found myself fielding all types of calls from unqualified suitors and more time consuming that first thought. I then noticed a 3% brokers commission offered by Homefinders Realty, naturally I thought that this discounted commission would bring me discounted service. But, in my conversation with a company salesperson explained that not only do they service their clients in a traditional manner, but offer this discounted commision to generate quicker sales by bringing buyers and sellers quickly closer together in the finally agreed to sale price.Thus savings Home Finders a considerable amount of expenses with ongoing marketing and advertising. In turn passing this back to the seller. It was an uncomplicated concept that I found very logical.I decided that the savings and their experience was well worth what i had just experienced trying to sell my home. To my astonishment,once my home was listed I received a full price offer that consequently purchased my home. While I am certain that this may not be a normal occurance, i do beleive that the savings and overall sale price of my home made it more appealing to the buyer while very aware that the broker was offering this discount felt they were getting a bargain in todays market place. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is selling a home to consider offering their property in this manner for a quicker and profitable sale.

When looking to relocate to Westchester, NY from Chicago and I logged on to several New York Real Estate web sites.
